
The new Kodak EasyShare C653 digital compact camera looks like a great platform for beginners to start off with as it offers a 6.1 megapixel CCD sensor with 3x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom, a generous 2.4″ LCD display, and VGA video capture at 30fps for those impromptu moments. For those who do not know the nuances of various photography techniques, the 20 programmed scene modes go a great length in helping one snap a picture perfect shot. Each C653 is powered by AA batteries, making it a truly universal camera. There is no word on pricing or availability as at press time.
