Looks like Power Line Networking has finally arrived on the home audio scene with Pioneer’s new MT-01 Power Line Audio System. This unique system does away with the need for speaker cables, utilizing power lines instead to transmit both power and audio signals. Such a setup will greatly reduce the clutter and wires snaking through your living room, and could be seen more often in future home audio configurations. The MT-01 package consists of a Sound Station unit, a sizeable 2 x 25 watt Network Speaker, a tiny 5 watt Network Speaker, an a remote control to boot. You can hook up any compatible audio source to the Sound Station and hear it from virtually any room with a power outlet. The MT-01 can support up to two different audio sources simultaneously.
