We all know how firefighters and the police are heroes every single day when they put their lives on the line for others who are in danger. The SurvivalTag could come in handy in emergency cases as it utilizes radio-frequency identification technology to keep track of each individual’s position, enabling the leader of the pack to ensure the safety of his team under dire straits. It is also useful for other squad members to help a mate who is trapped inside a burning building, where normal sight is basically useless due to the huge amounts of thick smoke. RFID Ltd is currently working on designing and developing the system to include heart rate tracking, respiratory developments and skin temperature in future models.
