Looks like Europe is getting shafted yet again, as the HTC Athena (also known as the Dopod U1000) will be released in Taiwan as early as next week, whereas T-Mobile Germany announced earlier today that this Windows Mobile-powered device will only be available in Europe sometime within the next few weeks. If you’re impatient and can’t wait to snag yourself one of these, just head over to Taiwan and fork out approximately 930 Euros for one. Of course, that figure might sound a little bit pricey, but look on the bright side – you don’t have to be bogged down by a 2-year contract.
