LG has a line of designer monitors that come in unconventional base designs that are bound to add a touch of class to any home or workplace. The Jar is the latest in LG’s Fantasy series, where previous stars include the Ring and the Eclipse. The Jar monitor comes with a rounded base that glows in a soft red light when turned on, blending in nicely with the glossy black border which surrounds the screen. You can expect a contrast ratio of 2,000 to 1, a response time of 4ms, a brightness level of 300cd/m2, and a viewing angle of 170 degrees from this 1280 x 1024 monitor. There is no word on pricing of the Jar, but it looks fragile enough to warrant a premium price tag. Definitely a piece of hardware that you want to keep away from running children.
