Kunihiro Tsuji will unveil his MODAL Water Speaker at the Milano Design Week later this year. This unique speaker system is capable of transmitting sound via a water-filled resonance box. Apparently, Mr. Tsuji’s inspiration came from the human body and the earth, where both consist of 70% water. A loudspeaker is strategically placed above the water surface by floating, while the tear-shaped, transparent cone is integrated into the overall aesthetic concept. An audio cable runs through one of the supporting legs, enabling you to hook up the MODAL Water Speaker to virtually any amplifier. Oil-cooled computers, water speakers – what next?
