Denso has recently received a patent that displays GPS and navigation information on a heads up display in 3D, using sensors that are capable of detecting when and where certain directions will pop up. This will definitely enhance the driving experience, enabling the driver to be mindful of oncoming traffic. Not to be outdone, Alpine Electronics has also received a patent on its navigation system which enables users to mark their favorite spot using a GPS system. This works great for the tourism industry as you can now share your favorite spots with family and friends alike on your own terms. There is no word on when such technology will be available, but it is good to see GPS technology taking the next step forward.
