Sometimes carrying around a small phone can be rather inconvenient as the diminutive size makes it impossible to pack in a whole lot of features. Take the i501 for example – while not as small as the Xun Chi 138, it is one of the smaller touchscreen handsets available in the market. Sporting a 2″ touchscreen display and a 1.3 megapixel camera, the i501 offers MP3, WAV, WMV and MPEG-4 file format support. The small size is made possible by excluding a keypad, leaving only a joystick for media controls and casual gaming. With all the multimedia capability, it is a pity to see that the i501 does not come with a memory card slot to expand upon the limited 196MB internal memory. The i501 is available in black and white colors for approximately $180.
