The PocketSurfer phone was first mentioned by DataWind way back in 2004, where the device definitely set a lot of tongues wagging, but apparently the handset never really took off. Three years later, DataWind is back, and this time they are not presenting any vaporware, but the PocketSurfer 2 instead. What sets this unique phone apart from the rest of the mundane crowd is the ability to download webpages in their full glory, taking an average of 7 to 9 seconds per page, presumably via WiFi. Most people will also include questions about the specifications, price, and availability in addition to whatever happened to the first PocketSurfer.
