SanDisk team up with NEC

NEC will be using SanDisk’s iNAND embedded flash drive (EFD) as the solid state mobile storage solution of choice in NEC’s future cellphones. NEC is currently working on a new music phone platform that will incorporate the latest AP131 audio processor, which means having ample storage space to carry your entire digital music library is extremely important. The implementation of both technologies are bound to thrill music lovers as playback times will be increased thanks to a lower power consumption of up to 85%. The iNAND EFD can also be used in other mobile devices to support on-the-go TV, multimedia downloading, and other storage hungry applications.
