I must admit, it is strange to see different tablet PC manufacturers popping out of nowhere with obscure names. Take the Algiz 8 for example – this tough talking tablet PC was designed for those who work in harsh environments, featuring a 8.4″ SVGA TFT resistive touchscreen display, a 1.0GHz ULV M processor, a 40GB hard drive, and 512MB RAM (expendable up to 1GB), all running on Microsoft’s Windows XP Professional OS. Connectivity options include WiFi, whereas you have the option of throwing in GPRS and GPS into the fray depending on your budget. I suppose only those in geodesy, military, emergency services, security, service technicians, logistics and transportation industries need apply as the rest of us rely on our self-combusting Dells.
