Although the Koreans and Japanese are at the forefront of DVB-T and DVB-H capable handsets, the Taiwanese aren’t lagging too far behind as evidenced by the GSmart T600 cellphone from Gigabyte Communications. Supporting not only DVB-T and H digital TV standards, the T600 also features support for DAB radio. I must say the inclusion of a 640 x 480 VGA display (a first from Gigabyte Communications) is a great choice since it makes a TV show come alive when compared against a 320 x 240 display. There is no word on pricing, but the GSmart T600 will be launched in Taiwan next month. Choose from either black or white colors.
