If you’re currently in the market for a nifty and affordable messaging device, the Helio Ocean comes to mind. Also known as the Pantech PN-810, this smartphone folds out to reveal a keyboard in messaging position, while if you slide it open instead, a keypad avails itself for you to make regular phone calls. The Ocean will run on Helio’s own UI which ain’t half bad. Features include POP/IMAP mailbox support, IM integration, EV-DO connectivity, a 2 megapixel camera with video recording capability, 200MB of onboard memory, and a miniSD card slot among others. You can pick up the Helio Ocean for $295 a pop later this month.
