
Palm has just announced a new GPS/hands-free speakerphone solution for its range of Palm Treo smartphones, aiming to bring a safer and simpler mobile experience especially crucial moments on the road. The Comfort Plus DSP Hands-free Car Kit and Take & Talk DSP Cradle plus CarTalk Hands-free Car Kit will be avialable for both Treo 680 and Treo 750 users, where the former accessory retails for $199 while the latter is more expensive at $259. A GPS Navigator Car Kit that is going for $299 is capable of giving Treo 680 and Treo 700p customers voice-guided, turn-by-turn directions, and hold a conversation all at once without letting the user lift his/her eyes off the road while keeping both hands on the wheel.
