LCD technology has progressed to such a stage where they can be viewed pretty well even under bright sunlight thanks to unprecedented brightness levels. Unfortunately, this feature tends to strain the device’s battery, draining more than it should in certain situations. Samsung has developed a new QVGA 2.1″ LCD display that features an automatic brightness adjustment technology, giving you the best readability under any condition. Meant for use in high-end cellphones, PDAs, and portable media players, the new LCD panel also comes with a temperature compensation sensor that maintains a steady operational mode despite any exterior temperature change. Production of this new LCD panel will begin in the second half of this year.
