Samsung unveils new slim LCDs

Samsung has lifted the veil on its new 1.29mm thin Ultra Slim Module which will see action in the upcoming Ultra Edition II line of cellphones. Measuring approximately 0.4mm thinner than the 1.7mm panels that are currently being produced, this 1.29mm module will usher in a new batch of ever thinner handsets. Unless they strengthen the plastic enclosure that cellphones today come in, we will reach a point where sitting on our slider handsets will just snap it into half. Whatever the case is, it would be interesting to see the Q2 launch of Ultra Edition II handsets.
