BetterLight has recently unveiled a monster of a camera, known as the Super10K-HS which is capable of capturing images in a monstrous 416 megapixels. Just imagine the tpye of memory you need to store an individual picture – after all each shot takes up 794MB of space. Stored images enable you to output originals at 34″ x 45″ at 300dpi. Naturally the home user won’t be using this camera anytime soon as it targets the art reproduction market as well as institutions who are looking to make archival copies. It costs a whooping $22,995 to purchase one, a figure that is out of reach for the layman.
