TufTab UMPC rolls out next month

The TufTab UMPC is one tough nut and targets those who work in warehouses or construction sites as those environments aren’t exactly optimal for you to whip out your shiny, scratch free Vaio. The TufTab comes with a 7″ TFT LCD touchscreen display that is viewable even under sunlight and is compliant with the IP53 standard, making it resistant to both heat and water. A 1.2GHz Via processor runs the show, while additional features include WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity and a 40GB hard drive. You can choose to run Vista, XP or Linux on it, although I would recommend against Vista considering the sub-par specs. Interested parties can pick up the TufTab from the middle of next month onwards for $1,699.
