While optical mice offer a much more functional navigation device when compared to its balled predecessor, they don’t exactly function well on surfaces such as a piece of glass or a carpet. Rare Mono is offering this USB Wireless Space Mouse EZ that works as a regular mouse (as in while chained to your desk), and can also be used in mid-air when the situation calls for it. I suppose it uses some kind of gyrosensor that is somewhat similar to that in the Nintendo Wii controller. Of course, how many of us would actually do our work while lying down backwards? If you’re still interested in one, be prepared to part with $36 for the USB Wireless Space Mouse EZ.
