Electronic paper is the Holy Grail for a paperless environment in offices, and Fujitsu has taken a giant step towards realizing that vision by announcing the first color e-paper electronic book in the world. This new device will be released this October for a whopping $1,310 a pop. Known as the Fujitsu FLEPia e-book, this device comes with WiFi connectivity and is available in A4 and A5 sizes. Features include a 768 x 1,024 touchscreen display, the ability to show up to 4,096 colors, an SD card slot, and adjustable color settings which affect the amount of time taken to turn a page. The FLEPia e-book will be powered by an Intel XScale processor and run on Windows CE 5.0. Hopefully as time goes by the price will come crashing down to more affordable levels.
