NEC Corporation has managed to come up with a new bioplastic made from plant-based material and carbon fiber which features a higher heat conductivity than that of stainless steel. This new bioplastic hopes to make more environmentally-friendly electronic products while keeping conventional heat release issues at bay. Obviously, the benefits of such a material are plenty since you can’t exactly cram a fan into a computer as small as an iPod to keep it cool. NEC aims to mass produce this bioplastic composite before March 2009 is over, where it will be used in housings of electronic products as well as other applications.
