Looks like the PS3 platform will also receive some gaming goodness from a different dimension, courtesy of the PlayStation Eye. The Eye is a vast improvement over its predecessor, the EyeToy that was used for the PS2. The new PlayStation Eye comes with an improved sensor that helps lower-light scenes while offering a vastly improved frame rate for motion-sensitive games. For instance, a VGA resolution image is capable of running at 60fps, while a smaller QVGA image runs at double that speed. New software called EyeCreate also comes bundled with the PlayStation Eye when it is reduced this summer at a yet undisclosed price.
