The Sahara TufTab from Tablet Kiosk is a rugged tablet PC that has been constructed to withstand the rigors of rain, dust, humidity, extreme temperatures, and vibration. While the Celeron 1.0GHz processor will turn some people off, it is pretty capable of handling everyday office work such as managing spreadsheets and word processors with 1GB of RAM. Features include a 12.1″ widescreen LCD touch panel display that can be viewed even under sunlight, Bluetooth connectivity, and a biometric fingerprint scan among others. The Sahara TufTab will run on Windows XP with an option for SUSE Linux, and retail for $2,099.
