
Samsung proves that it can churn out more than jaw dropping cellphones, LCD TVs, and memory by unveiling a couple of SpinPoint hard drives that utilize Perpendicular Magnetic Recording (PMR). The 2.5″ MP1 is a SATAII device that comes with 200GB worth of storage space at 7200 RPM and a massive transfer speed of 3GBps, while the M5 will come in two flavors – 160GB and 250GB capacities, where both of them amble along at 5400 RPM and have a transfer speed of 1.5GBps.
