A quartet of designers from Korea (Hyejeong Lee, Sooyoung Hwang, Sunyoung Lee and Jiyun Park) have taken an existing Samsung SGH-E500 and modified the stock plastic and metallic image by replacing both materials with leather instead. The change in material definitely turns a cold handset into something that is warm and more glamorous, accented by applied graphics on the leather. Will Samsung suits sit up and take notice of this to release a special edition? After all, with all the beef Koreans consume, there should be more than enough leather left over to create a legion of these leather-enhanced SGH-E500s.
