SanDisk might actually have too much time on their hands to release the CompactFlash 5000 series with the words “Industrial Grade” emblazoned across the front unashamedly. Available in capacities ranging from 512MB to a whopping 8GB, these uber tough memory cards offer write speeds of 30MB/sec and are made from higher-grade materials that actually prolong the life of your CD card. While this doesn’t give you an excuse to abuse the CompactFlash 5000 series, at least you are secure in the knowledge that they won’t roll over and enter digital heaven anytime soon. Pricing details are unknown, but they will be available this summer.
