Word has it that certain individuals walking in the corridors of power at the Pentagon’s National Security Space Office (NSSO) may begin a study in the near future on the possibility of using satellites to collect solar energy for use on Earth. This energy will then be used to provide energy to U.S. troops located in bases and on the battlefield, where war is waged for a different kind of energy – oil. Instead of using solar energy to power an army that attempts to wrest control of oil, why not ensure the country runs on concentrated solar energy instead using the same technology? Ah well, big men and their big toys.
