Acer has a new laptop design up its sleeves known as Gemstone. Developed in partnership with BMW, the Gemstone will replace the outgoing Aspire line of laptops and comes in a curvy, black exterior. Both AMD and Intel processors will be used in the Gemstone range, while other features to look forward to include a 17″ display, HD DVD drives, and HDMI output. We have been assured that the Gemstone won’t see any difference in price due to its improved aesthetics, but do carry a cleaning cloth in your laptop bag since the Gemstone looks set to be a prima donna fingerprint magnet.
