The AVL-900 vehicle tracking system goes one-up on its competitors by giving you the location of your vehicle in real time while allowing you to dial-in to your car thanks to the integrated microphone. You can either send a text to your car or let it ring 5 time before the system is triggered to call you back, enabling you to know who your husband is riding with while making his “business rounds”. Pretty neat feature, but the idea of having more and more devices that infringe on the privacy of others without their knowledge unnerves me. Heck, for all you know my office chair could come with a built-in mic. Boss, I hope you weren’t listening in on my impromptu Quake sessions while testing out the office’s network latency?
