Apparently a new patent was published last week, giving us details on a new, upcoming cellphone which cares for the environment as it is made from bamboo. Not only is it made from grass (yes, bamboo is a type of grass), it features a nanotech coating and has been treated with gamma rays (can you say Hulk?) to make it more durable, removing bacteria, moisture, debris, and contamination in the process. The bamboo will also be coated with titanium dioxide, silver, and zinc dioxide for a more high tech look. The patent also mentions that the bamboo phone boast functions such as “sterilizing, deodorizing, anti-fouling and self-cleaning”, but will it clean my apartment?
