Citizen’s latest attempt at a solar powered watch is sorely disappointing, coming in a design that makes it more bearable to stare directly at the sun (don’t try this – I’m just using a metaphor). The only good point would be it doesn’t clog up the world with additional batteries over the course of the product’s lifetime. The watch case looks absolutely horrible, but I suppose Greenpeace activists won’t mind sacrificing some fashion sense to help keep the environment sustainable. A full charge offers up to five years of power, which is something worth pointing out. Interested folks will be able to pick one up for $319. Has someone come up with a hybrid solar-kinetic watch yet?
