All you need to do is walk on a treadmill while holding the dog’s leash, carefully pacing yourself so as not to tire or bore the dog with too fast or too slow a speed. You also have the responsibility of keeping your virtual pooch safe when the neighborhood bully dog comes around, or when an oncoming car appears on the screen. Make a mistake and your virtual dog will end up in pooch heaven. Not a very nice ending when you think about it, as this would probably traumatize small kids who have a go at it.
