The Energy Tree concept aims to marry modern technology with nature, where designer Ben Arent developed a system where a real tree is connected to a microprocessor. The microprocessor will control both watering and feeding of the tree based on the amount of energy you consumed. It does this by monitoring your appliances, heating/cooling, and recycling habits and will only feed and water the tree if you’re efficient in your usage. Doing otherwise will place you under the charges of treeslaughter, resulting up to a lifetime of remorse and guilt as well as the chance to turn over a new leaf.
