Epoq is an obscure portable media player manufacturer, and the EMP-FT804 is the latest device from the company to hit the market. All the standard features apply, ranging from the 2.2″ color display, touch sensitive buttons ala Chocolate, and the ability to play AVI files directly without going through any pesky conversion process. The EMP-FT804 measures 73.2mm x 43.6mm x 10mm and supports MP3 and WMA formats, with an FM tuner, voice recorder, photo viewer, lyrics support, and a miniSD card slot rounding off the list of features. While AVI playback is good and all, the 1GB memory is clearly its Achilles heel, miniSD card slot or not. The EMP-FT804 retails for $110.95.
