Epson is more famous for making printers than portable media players, but that did not stop them from unveiling the Epson P-3000. This hard drive-based portable media player comes with 40GB worth of storage space and plays H.264 format videos on its 4″ display. While the P-3000 gets three hours of playback time for video, it performs at double the length for audio – nothing impressive to be sure, as the disparity between video and audio playback time is usually much more than that. Forking out $499 for it seems pretty steep – I think most people would prefer to stick to their 80GB iPod Videos despite the smaller screen size. What about you?
