First A4 color e-paper developed

LG Philips has just dropped the ball that they successfully managed to invent the first 14.1″ flexible color electronic paper display in the world. Featuring electronic ink from E-Ink, this A4-sized e-paper can produce a maximum of 4,096 colors and has a viewing angle of 180 degrees, ensuring images remain crisp and clear even when the display is bent. This is made possible by using a substrate that arranges TFT on metal foil in favor of glass, letting it recover the original shape after being bent. Looks like the day of e-papers are slowly but surely looming over the horizon. 4,096 colors just ain’t enough IMHO, as tabloids covering celebrity gossip just won’t be satisfied with images of such quality appearing on such a screen.
