The HP dvd1040e 20x Super Multi DVD Writer is the latest external DVD burner that comes with LightScribe labeling technology, enabling you to write to both single and double layer discs without any problems. Those who are still living in the past will be pleased to know the HP dvd1040e also does normal CDs. Tests have shown that DVD+R discs can be burned at up to 20x, DVD+RW and DVD+R DL at up to 8x. Each $119.99 purchase comes with Nero 7 essentials. External DVD writers these days are pretty rare since most laptops already come with one, but I suppose this is for those who own older laptops.
