LG has just launched the Super Multi Security drive in the U.K., making that region the earliest to pick up the first DVD/CD re-writer equipped with SecurDisc technology in the world. This is made possible as SecurDisc technology adds layers of security as the disc is being burnt. This process is achieved by applying passwords, digital signatures and copy protection to data DVD/CDs during the burning process. Each disc is subsequently encrypted and requires a viewing application to view the data on it. Sounds pretty impressive – I wonder when will hackers crack this?
