The main problem with most gizmos these days are the lack of battery power due to the amount of functions thrown inside each device. The US Department of Energy has developed a better method of building a longer lasting lithium-ion battery that will be cheaper to produce as well, utilizing a two-component composite structure that stabilizes the battery. This new process enables the production of batteries that have double the storage capacity when compared to batteries used today. No idea on when this new battery will be released, but hopefully it will be soon.
