Microsoft DigiDesk concept

Microsoft’s “Center for Information Work” concept is known as the DigiDesk, and it aims to bring a new level of interactivity between the user and his work thanks to a two-pane workstation which is comprised of touch-sensitive panels, enabling you to manipulate documents, evolving and mutating controls by simply using your fingers. This is all very futuristic sounding, but until the cost of such panels actually drop to dirt cheap prices, you can forget about having it implemented at your office or much less in your home.
