Pioneer intends to keep their competition on their toes by announcing the ‘Best flat screen TV in the world’. The Project Kuro TV range claims to come with black levels that are 80% deeper than its predecessors with a true contrast ratio of 20,000 to 1. The integrated intelligent brightness control adjusts the brightness without having you to fiddle with it for the best picture possible under all conditions. There will be 10 models altogether, split between 720p and 1080p models. 1080p models come in sizes of 50″ and above, while the 720p line maxes out at 50″. Pricing details are unavailable, although the 720p and 1080p models will be released in June and September respectively.
