We’ve seen a bunch of solar-powered apparel and devices in the past, and now we have the Soltonix Headphone AM/FM Stereo Radio that harnesses the power of the sun to power up the AAA battery located in the ear piece. Initial tests show that four hours of basking under the sun will net you around 19 hours of playback, which is pretty impressive. Hopefully the materials used to make the Soltonix headphones will be able to withstand the harsh rays of the sun in due time, as plastic is known to get brittle and warped when exposed to the sun for extended periods of time. The Soltonix headphones retails for $49.95.
