I’m amazed that nobody else has thought up of this idea in the first place up until now – the Sprout Umbrella concept allows the user to store the canopy and all the other hardawre within the handle itself. Turning the knob on its face will unlock the inner mechanism, and as the knob slides down the umbrella, it will force the arms out through the top of the shaft. These arms are made from flextible plastic and can be bent as they exit the handle, pulling the canopy along. Opened fully, the knob is turned back to keep the umbrella locked open. Just remember to air it after use before storage.
