I’m not sure how a robot is going to liven up a presentation about something as dreary as vinegar, but apparently the Japanese think that is possible with the Tamanoi Vinegar Robot. Boasting a complex system of pneumatic servos which control up to 24 different points of articulation in the upper half of its body, the Tamanoi Vinegar Robot stands at 1.8m tall and weighs a massive 100kg. Its lips can sync with its voice to provide a more lifelike performance, while the iridescent coating changes hue according to the viewing angle for a stylish finish. The Tamanoi Vinegar Robot will start entertaining visitors to the Tamanoi Vinegar Corporation headquarters from July onwards, but hopefully it won’t leave a sour taste in their mouths.
