Wall of Pong now comes in laser

You just know it when a game reaches classic status – it is found across various pop culture references, there will be T-shirts made about it, while watches and tables become impromptu game machines. Pong is one such game, and it has been given a new lease of life thanks to a couple of sutdents from Cornell University who took their knowledge garnered from the ECE 476 Microcontroller Design course and added lasers to this retro game. Known as Wall of Pong, this game can be played on ay flat surface, where the red laser ball is “bounced” by a couple of physical paddles. These paddles come with integrated light sensors that detect whether the ball has made contact. Pretty neat, but how much longer can you flog a dead horse? Top marks for creativity though.
