With the movie release of Transformers just a couple of days away, everyone is all hyped up about robots that decided to use the earth as a battleground. While the Wilson Audio Alexandria Loudspeakers won’t be changing shapes anytime soon, it comes in a bizarre enough design for you to expect that it would. Apparently it employs “upper frequency driver modules that adjust linearly to optimize time alignment” while each module rotates on its polar axis in order to achieve optimal driver dispersion in most rooms. Sounds like a whole lot of marketing drivel, and get a load of this – the Alexandria Loudspeakers retail for $200,000 a pop. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to sell off my house and my left kidney in order to afford a pair of this for my busking performances.
