Fancy a pair of headlights that work in tandem with map information stored within your vehicle’s navigation system? Denso of Japan offers exactly that with its Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS) which moves according to the steering angle and vehicle speed after digesting prior information from the navigation system. Sounds like a great idea when it comes to tackling those dark, unseen corners in unfamiliar territory. Unfortunately, the system is scheduled for commercialization in at least 5 years’ time, which sounds like an eternity at this moment.
