HP Slimline s3000y is diminutive

While the Mac Mini pioneered the small, affordable desktop computer segment, HP has taken this market niche further with its Slimline s3000y. It is not as small as Apple’s offering, but it comes in a glossy black exterior that is easy on the eye. The small case holds a 3.2GHz Pentium processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, an integrated memory card reader, a Lightscribe DVD burner, and an HP Pocket Media Drive bay. Prices start from $479.99 upwards, depending on the configuration. If you were just looking for a regular desktop that does word processing and spreadsheets competently with room for the occasional game, will you settle for something as sleek as the Slimline s3000y or a regular, gray rectangle box?
