The iPhone might not be out yet, but you can already find challengers arriving at the market. One of them would be the HTC Touch, and this smartphone has been squarely aimed at the iPhone’s target market. Previously known as the Elf, the Touch has been christened so due to the way users control the handset – entirely via the 2.8″ touchscreen display. It is interesting to see how Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional handles an all-touch interface. Pre-loaded software includes Office Mobile, while other features comprise of a microSD memory card slot, a 2 megapixel camera, WiFi connectivity, and EDGE support. Pricing details are unconfirmed, but Asia and Europe will get ‘touched’ by the end of this month with an American version being planned for the second half of 2007.
