LaCie is offering a 2TB Ethernet Big Disk for your storage woes, coming in a diminutive 2″ x 7″ x 11″ form factor while boasting support for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems. Each Ethernet Big Disk is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet connection and a couple of USB ports for expansion options. The price is definitely set at a point where the average Joe is not comfortable with – $1,099. Home users will be able to take advantage of the LaCie Ethernet Big Disk by offering fast data transfer rates across a network along with streaming multimedia content to UPnP-compatible AV adapters. The 2TB version will begin to ship by the middle of next month, with the 1TB model already available.
